RE: ROAD CLOSURES: Please note that there are two road closures in Everdon over the months of July and August due to work on drains and for the resurfacing of the road to Fawsley.

The dates are as follows:

• July 28th - August 15th - High Street and Well Lane.
• August 18th - August 29th - Fawsley Road

High Street/ Well Lane: The whole of the top end of the village will be subject to works as a completely new drainage system is installed. It is unlikely that Well Lane will be affected at all but otherwise the High Street will be closed to all traffic over 7.5 tonnes, and to light through traffic at off-peak times. Access to the village should be unaffected but there could be delays at times as work progresses.

Fawsley Road: Fawsley road is being completely resurfaced, therefore during the closure period it is likely to be inaccessible to through traffic.

RE: Village Green - As i am sure you know, people parking their cars on the village green has become a real issue! Not only does it cause problems for other residents, it also leaves large ruts and tyre tracks on the grass especially in wet weather, as well as damaging the kerbing around the green. The recent Fiori Musicali concert at the church was an extremly bad case as not only did people park on the village green, they also parked all the way around it, blocking access to the Field Centre and School Lane.

Please, please, please, do not park your cars on the green, it is a great village asset and we don’t want to lose it!
