Welcome to Everdon.info

This is the official website for the village of Everdon, a small, picturesque village in the heart of rural Northamptonshire with an approximate population of 350 people. A translation of ‘Everdon’ means ‘Boars Hill’, so called becuase the 80 acres of woodland, now Everdon Stubbs, was once grazing land for Wild Boar.

The village has a very good community spirit and regularly holds several annual functions, one of which is the Grand Feté, which is always held on the bank holiday Monday in August. In more recent times, the Everdon Bonfire and Fireworks party, which began in 2006, has become a very succesful event, raising funds for the church restoration fund. For upcoming village events please check out the ‘Events’ page.

One of the most prominent buildings in the village, among many, is the 12th Century Church of St Mary the Virgin. Regular services are held on Sunday mornings - check the ‘St Marys Church’ page for details.
